iDecide surveys are created with an easy-to-use WYSIWYG editor that allows you to create virtually any survey imaginable. Everything from a simple, one-question survey to a complex MVT conjoint analysis survey can be created with ease and with a custom look and feel. Additionally, there is no limit on the number of element categories tested or on the number of elements within each category in MVT conjoint analysis surveys.

At this stage, you may provide our experts with the questions you want to ask in your survey, and have them design the survey itself, or you can use our survey designer to create the survey yourself, or you can use a combination, performing some of the design and tweaking yourself and having our experts design and tweak the rest.

Survey Creation Software Recommended Requirements: Windows 98 or greater, 32MB RAM, Intel or AMD 1.0Ghz CPU or faster.

When conducting a survey for MVT conjoint analysis, each participant must be shown a minimum number of unique combinations for the results to be statistically accurate. For this step, we suggest using our experts to make the determination. Simply provide us with the number of categories you are testing and the number of elements within each category and we will tell you the optimal number of combinations to show.

Having created and finalized the survey, it is time to upload the survey to a configured server. In this step, you may use an iDecide survey server or you may install our server component software and use your own server instead. Our server component is based on PHP technology and uses the MySQL database software package, allowing it to run under a variety of environments. All you need is a web server with MySQL and PHP configured and you are ready to go.

If you would like to run your own server but do not have a suitable system already, we can provide you with a pre-configured iDecide certified server through FDInteractive.

Depending on the type of survey, you may wish to control access to the survey. iDecide supports participant authentication through either a username and password model, or through a passcode model. Only participants with a password or passcode are able to respond to the survey and only one set of responses is recorded per password.

At this stage, you may use the survey creation software to generate a list of passwords or codes, which you may then pair up with usernames if you wish, and then use the online survey administration to activate the accounts, or you may simply provide us with the number of participants you wish to contact and we can generate and activate the accounts for you.

With the survey uploaded and the passwords generated, it is time to contact the participants. Simply provide us with a list of names and email addresses and we will email them. All email addresses that you provide are kept in the strictest of confidences and are never used for any other purpose other than to send out an invitation.

Alternatively, you may contact your participants yourself. We can provide you with companies that can perform the emailing for you if you are unable to do this yourself.

This is the easy part. Sit back and wait for the participants to answer the survey. Participants will follow the link provided in the invitation email, (optionally) log into the survey, and answer the questions. The answers are stored in the MySQL database. MySQL is a well tested and very stable solution capable of storing vast quantities of responses ... more than even the most complex surveys could ever generate.

You can log into the survey administrator at any time to see how many people have responded to the survey. You can also download the current results at any time as well.

Once the participants have answered the survey, you can download the results and load them into our Result Exporter / Analyzer software. This software provides some basic frequency analysis on the results of the survey and is sufficient for most simple surveys. These results can be saved in text, HTML, or CSV formats.

For more complex surveys, the software allows you to select subsets of the data and export the results in CSV (comma-separated value) formats. This format can then be imported into more sophisticated analysis software, such as Microsoft Excel or other spreadsheet packages, or the Data Miner Maximizer.

For MVT conjoint analysis, we suggest allowing our experts to perform the analysis rather than attempting it on your own. We can ensure that all of the subtle nuances of the analysis are performed correctly and that you get the most accurate information from your survey results.
